And since the paper was double sided already, why not make something for us to see on the inside? Oh, and I'm pretty into the fact that my classes are awesome, so I figured I would just start the year off letting them know that little fact!
And finally I started to work on the cabinets by my desk. Still working on placement, for some reason they were quite the challenge for me today. However, I did make this last little sign that was inspired by a conversation I had with one of my teenage cousins. He told me once that I expect too much from people, and well, I just don't agree with that. So, for my students, I put a little twist on things and there you go.Tomorrow I get to continue with the fun stuff...bulletin boards. Thankfully I have a friend coming to help me - giant butcher paper is not a one person job!
I love it and seeing Jimmy brought tears to my eyes. It looks awesome. It makes me want to go back to school:0)
ReplyDeleteThanks! And I couldn't just leave Jimmy in the cabinet!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute ideas! I teach junior high as well and I agree, there is hardly anything for middle and high school classrooms. I make my own too. : )

I feel your pain in not being able to find any middle school appropriate classroom decor...everything is elementary! I love your signs so cute and better than anything you could buy pre-made!! Great Job
ReplyDeleteLove this! Especially the "for the record" note. Can I steal that phrase?! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are making some progress girl! I really need to get in the classroom. Shootie patootie!
When is the 1st day of school for you?
Of course you can! We start the 22nd so I've been trying to get a little ahead. Tomorrow more curriculum!
ReplyDeleteI love your bulletin board. I hope you don't mind, but I linked to it over on my bulletin board blog. http://bulletinboardstoremember.blogspot.com/2011/08/there-is-no-such-thing.html
