I think before you become parents for the first time
you really have no idea how it is all going to go down
we had some ideas and hopes for how we wanted to parent
but were our ideas simply unrealistic?
well for the most part, we are getting through our days just the way we wanted
so yesterday we finally got out and about in the neighborhood
and went for our first walk as a family
Everly even went to her first food truck last night
[a true passion of her father's]
so yeah
we are birthing baby in tubs, co-sleeping, baby-wearing parents
and we couldn't be happier about it

DeleteLove it! I'm all about the birthing baby in tubs :) Did you guys deliver at home, hospital, or the birthing center? (If you don't mind me asking, I'm kind of obsessed with this topic at the moment!)
ReplyDeleteWe delivered at sutter Davis and it was the best experience I could ask for. They are so supportive of natural birth plans ad you can trust that any interventions they suggest are 100% necessary. I also saw only midwives through their practice. Another amazing experience - so different from my first 6 months of care with a different hospital. Hope this helps Olivia!

DeleteThere was a lady who came all the way from lame Tahoe to deliver there when we were there! Their reputation of being awesome is spreading for sure. I know that some kaiser facilities have midwives and birthing tubs if you had to stay with them. For us it was worth only using my husbands insurance to go with sutter.
