getting mighty ready for fun

Pumpkins are officially in our home - like the big ones for carving.  The husband brought them home for me, and if I do say, did a very good job of picking them out.  We haven't carved pumpkins in years, not since we started throwing our own little halloween shindig after we got married and moved into a home we actually wanted to entertain in.  So this year I decided it was time to get back into the tradition!  Now I just need to figure out what kind of cupcakes I want to make for the party.  I'm starting to realize the downside of Pinterest - too many ideas!

  1. Ooooh, that's a big 'un! I hope you show us pictures of what it will look like carved. I have only ever carved a pumpkin once, but my husband and I also bought some last weekend that we are going to try and be artistic on. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for entering the giveaway, by the way. I like cross stitchinh so much, I find it really soothing (unless I make mistakes, that infuriates me...). The pattern is from http://gazette94.blogspot.com/2010/10/le-chat-et-les-corbeaux.html, just in case you do not win. But good luck!!!!

  3. I love Pinterest, but I agree there are too many options sometimes! I'm going to try baking some pumpkin cream cheese muffins I saw on there tomorrow.
