getting crafty

well my first nursery wall art project was pretty simple

and thanks to pinterest, inspiration has not been a problem at all

I have been seeing everywhere in nurseries embroidery hoops used with pretty textiles

so I decided to give it a shot

for now they are propped up on the little lady's dresser

but I'll figure out where exactly to hang them soon enough

also, I've been pretty busy the last two days

and things are quickly starting to look a lot more like a nursery

here's just a peek -

easy as pie

this year I wanted to try something new for the 4th of july

and I had pinned this ridiculously easy recipe a while back

so I figured I would give baking cake cookies a shot

 now I just hope that they taste as great as they look

here's how easy they are to make:

1 box of yellow cake mix

2 eggs beaten

5 T melted butter

2 cups M&Ms or mini chocolate chips [I went for a patriotic twist]

mix all ingredients together and bake at 350F for 25 minutes

I put mine in a pie dish so mine took a little longer to bake

the original recipe called for a 9X13 pan

so do as I did and check often!

welcome fall

you are pretty awesome in my book

I've been collecting all sorts of inspirations over at pinterest 

I'm hoping to make some time to try some of this awesomeness out

this last week has also been pretty amazing in the classroom

feeling very good about that

I have so many projects to share

and will be ready to start back up my "Sunday's So They Said"

I'm getting back to having kids make me laugh everyday

and that feels pretty great

and yes I know I am technically a day early on welcoming fall

but hey - it's fall somewhere

So for a while now I have been seeing it.

Hearing about it.

Even told I should pin something before I even knew what the heck that meant.

Well, I did it. 

Set up some boards & starting pinning away.

I'm kind of in love with it.

I think my favorite part is how you can look at someone's boards

and it totally represents that person.

I look at mine and think, well, yup, that pretty much sums me up!
